LEARNING TO FOLLOW JESUS
Why Read The Bible?
The Bible is God’s love letter to you. It is central to getting to know who God is and what He wants for your life.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness." - 2 Timothy 3:16
I am a new believer. What book of the Bible should I read first?
If you are just beginning to read the Bible, we suggest you start by reading the Book of John (stories of Jesus). Try reading Psalms and Proverbs as well.
There are many translations. Which one should I read?
Although there is no single translation of the bible that supersedes others, among many options, New International Version (NIV) offers a direct translation from the original text and is reader friendly. The Message (MSG) is another good option for those looking for a 'reading' Bible written and paraphrased into contemporary language.
Would you like to read the Bible with others?
We offer Bible reading and prayer for 10 minutes a day at 8 AM Monday to Thursday.
here to register.
How do I attend the church?
Church is not a building. It refers to the congregation of believers in Jesus Christ consisting of men and women from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation. As a church, we are committed to following the Word, works, and ways of Jesus.
At Church on the Queensway, we have different ministries to serve you better according to your age, gender, and needs.
Given the current health crisis, our Kids, Tweens (Grade 4-7), and Youth ministry post a new video on our website on every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday afternoon. Our senior pastor Billy also posts a new devotional on the same days of the week so make sure to check them out!
What time are your Sunday Services?
Join our Sunday services at 9:30 am and 11:11 am, both on-site and online. For our online services, you can watch on our website, Youtube and Facebook page.
Who can follow Jesus?
Anyone and everyone can choose to follow Jesus. Whoever calls on the name of Jesus and asks forgiveness for his/her wrongdoing or sin, will be forgiven and become a child of God. Christ died not to condemn us but to save us and to adopt us into His family.
Is Jesus one way of many to be saved?
Receiving God’s forgiveness and thereby obtaining salvation, is not the goal of every religion. So we cannot simply compare Jesus or Christianity and all other faiths.
The Bible claims that, “there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).: Also, Jesus spoke of himself , not as knowing a way to salvation, but as “being” the way (John 14:6), and therefore did not leave room for us to view him as one of many ways to be saved. We can either not think of him as an option at all or take His word for it and accept him as the way to be saved.
Why is the world so broken?
Ever since Adam and Eve (the first woman and the first man) disobeyed God’s instructions to not eat the fruit of one tree in the perfect garden where they lived (Genesis 3), sin, death and suffering became a part of the human experience. The entire creation “groans” and is awaiting the day when God will make all things new again. However, The Bible is clear that God does not turn a blind eye to our suffering but rather, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)
What is salvation?
Salvation is the reparation of our broken relationship with God through the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ. It is by God’s grace that we are saved through faith, it is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8)
What does it mean to have a relationship with Jesus?
When we make the decision to follow Jesus, we open the door to our new best friend and shepherd/guide of our life. He promises to never leave us and He calls us his family. We can nurture and grow our relationship with Him daily by talking with him (prayer) and by reading His word (the Bible) and by serving others. If you aren’t sure where to start, email us at email@example.com and we will help you as you start out your new life of faith in Christ.
Do I need to go to church?
It is the heart of God that we not give up meeting together as believers. Meeting regularly with a group of believers is vital, not optional, for your spiritual growth. If getting to church is not possible for you, find an online small group with us or read the Bible and pray with us on Zoom. There are lots of options for you!
Let us know if you want help to connect with other believers. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill in a connect card by clicking the Connect Form button on top of this page.
What is prayer?
Prayer is having a conversation with God. We believe it has the power to transform us and the world around us.
You don't need to wait - start praying today!
I have prayer requests!

What is water baptism?
Baptizing followers of Christ was a direction given and modelled by Jesus himself. It is a public declaration of one’s decision to follow Jesus.
We believe baptism is something you choose, so even if you were baptized as a child, we will baptize you again by fully immersing you in water as a sign of your association with Christ and other believers. It is also symbolic of dying to your old life and being raised up into a new life in Christ.
Although our water baptisms are currently on hold due the current health crisis, you may have questions about it. Feel free to contact us at
email@example.com and one of our pastors will get back to you as soon as possible.
How can I get baptized?
Due to the current health crisis, all water baptism schedules are on hold. Please check back again or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
