NOTE FROM DIRECTOR:
This year's Toronto Passion Play draws its inspiration from a single, powerful verse in the Gospel of Matthew (27:19): “While Pilate was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him this message: ‘Have nothing to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered terribly in a dream today because of Him.’”
Why did Pilate’s wife receive such a haunting dream? Was it a divine warning—an urging from God Himself? This year's production delves into her mysterious and compelling experience, inviting us all to encounter the living Saviour in a new and personal way.
Our prayer is that, like Pilate’s wife, each of us will hear God speak—clearly, powerfully, and in a life-transforming way—this Easter season.
